How to use it
Enter distance and target finish time, pick a pacing strategy — get the pace for every kilometer. For a full marathon plan with clock time, profile and chart, use the dedicated pace calculator.
Formula and source
Even: pace = time / distance for every km.
Negative/positive: symmetric deviation from mean pace, mean = target pace.
caucasus.run — same formulas as in the race pace calculator
Worked example
10K in 50:00, even split → 5:00/km for every kilometer. A negative split keeps the same average pace but starts a touch slower and speeds up toward the finish.
Limitations
- The plan ignores terrain — actual pace will differ on hills (see the grade-adjusted pace calculator).
- The negative/positive split shape is a simplified model, not an individualized training plan.
