PB / PR (Personal Best/Record)
Rating
PB (Personal Best) or PR (Personal Record) is your best personal result at a specific distance. It's one of the main sources of motivation in amateur running.
In detail
PBs are tracked separately for each standard distance (5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, etc.) — a record on one distance doesn't automatically mean peak fitness on another. Many apps and watches automatically register a new PB when you cross the finish line.
How to use it
To set a new PB, choose a flat, certified course with good weather conditions — terrain, heat, and wind can eat up several minutes even when you're in great shape.
