Vibora
Rating
Vibora ("snake" in Spanish) is an attacking overhead shot in padel, similar to a smash but hit with a sideways slicing technique that makes the ball fly lower with an unpredictable bounce.
In detail
Unlike the bandeja (a more controlled, "slowing down" shot), the vibora is aggressive and aimed at directly ending the point — it is technically demanding and requires a good sense of overhead shot timing.
How to use it
The vibora should only be learned after gaining confident command of the basic smash and the bandeja — attempting to play an aggressive vibora right away without solid basic technique usually leads to frequent unforced errors.
