Wine has long been part of the Karalashvili family. Revaz Karalashvili carries that craft into the present as a fifth generation winemaker.
In 2011, Revaz Karalashvili and Gia Kupreishvili founded Georgian Royal Wine. Their shared idea was to bring the character of Georgian grapes and the family's winemaking experience to a wider audience.
The winery's home is Kvareli, at the foot of the Greater Caucasus. This landscape shapes the wines and remains central to the GRW story.

GRW opened a modern winery in Kvareli in 2020. The new facilities gave the team room to grow while keeping its connection to local vineyards and Georgian wine culture.
